| Does Airbnb collect it? | No, not the county tax. The Tax Collector says it has no agreement with Airbnb, HomeAway or Vrbo, so the host remits the 6%. Both platforms collect the state sales tax and surtax. |

| How often / due | Monthly or quarterly (your assigned frequency). Due the 1st of the month after the period; late if not received (or postmarked) by the 20th. Quarterly returns are due Apr 1, Jul 1, Oct 1 and Jan 1. |
| Zero returns? | Yes. The Tax Collector says a zero return is required even with no rentals, and the $50 minimum penalty applies even if no tax is due. |
| Late penalty | 10% of the tax owed or $50 minimum, plus daily interest at the state’s variable rate; the collection allowance is lost. |
